Delta Kitchen Remodeling: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide

Delta kitchen remodeling in San Antonio typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, and most full-kitchen projects take three to six weeks from demo to final walkthrough. If you’ve got a Delta faucet or fixture that’s part of a larger kitchen plan, or you’re building around existing Delta hardware you want to keep, we can match the new work to what’s already in your home. Homeowners usually call us when a Delta kitchen component has failed mid-remodel, or when they’ve bought a Delta fixture and realized the surrounding cabinetry, countertop, or sink layout needs to change to make it work.

We’re an independent San Antonio remodeling contractor. We’re not affiliated with Delta, but we install and build around their fixtures every week, and we know which generations of Delta kitchen hardware play nice with which cabinet and counter specs.

Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta’s kitchen lineup falls into a few families: the Classic pull-down and pull-out faucets, the Trinsic and Essa collections (which use a slightly different deck plate footprint), and the older single-handle models that were builder-standard in San Antonio homes from the 1990s through the mid-2010s. If you’re planning a kitchen remodel around an existing Delta faucet, the first thing to check is the number of mounting holes in your sink deck. Trinsic models want a single hole. Some Classic models still use three holes with a deck plate. That one detail changes the sink you can buy, so we verify it before anybody orders a countertop.

The practical decision for Delta owners is whether to keep the faucet and design around it, or replace the faucet as part of the remodel. Delta’s newer models ship with InnoFlex PEX supply lines that don’t corrode the way the old braided-steel lines did, and a 2019-and-newer Delta faucet still under warranty usually makes sense to keep. A pre-2015 Delta with visible green corrosion at the base is a candidate for replacement while the countertop is off anyway. We’ll give you a straight answer on which direction saves money.

Signs Your Delta Kitchen Component Is Failing

  • Sprayer wand losing pressure or dribbling at the switch: The diverter inside the wand head is worn, or mineral buildup from San Antonio’s hard water has narrowed the flow path. This is repairable on most models without pulling the whole faucet.
  • Leak at the base of the faucet when water is running: The O-rings around the body have hardened. Common on Delta models that sit under a window, where years of direct Texas sun have baked the rubber seals faster than normal.
  • Handle getting stiff or not returning to center: The cartridge is gummed with sediment. Delta cartridges are replaceable, but once the faucet body itself is scored inside, you’re better off planning replacement during a remodel than after the new backsplash goes in.
  • Sudden drop in hot water pressure at the kitchen sink only: The InnoFlex supply line is kinked behind the cabinet, or the shutoff valve under the sink has failed. We see this constantly in older San Antonio homes where the angle stops are original to a 1980s build.
  • Deck plate lifting or tilting: The mounting nut underneath has loosened, usually after years of someone leaning on the faucet neck to clean behind it. Retightening helps short-term, but once the plate is warped, replacement is the honest fix.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

In San Antonio, a full Delta-compatible kitchen remodel runs $14,000 to $45,000. Smaller refreshes that keep the existing layout land around $9,000 to $20,000. If you’re only doing cabinetry around a Delta sink, plan for $4,000 to $13,000. Countertop installation runs $2,000 to $6,500, and a new backsplash is $800 to $2,500.

Every Mason Remodeling job includes a written price before work starts, a written guarantee stating exactly what’s covered for 365 days from completion, and a free return visit if anything fails within that window. Isaac Pruett reviews every San Antonio scope of work personally before the crew shows up. We also stock cabinet hardware from KraftMaid and surfaces from Cambria and Silestone, so if your Delta fixture sits next to something that needs matching, we handle it in one pass.

DIY or Call Us?

Replacing a Delta cartridge or cleaning the aerator is a weekend job most homeowners can handle. Rebuilding a kitchen around a Delta faucet is not. The moment you’re moving supply lines, cutting countertops, or re-plumbing a sink base, the risk shifts from annoying to structural. Water supply lines under pressure are not a place to learn by doing, and a slow leak behind a new cabinet destroys the cabinet, the drywall, and the floor before you ever see it.

If you can see the problem, describe it to us over the phone and we’ll tell you whether a service call or a remodel is the right move. Call (254) 269-5071 and you’ll get a live person, not a phone tree. Know who’s coming, know what it costs, know it’s covered, that’s the whole job before the job starts.
