Why San Antonio Homeowners Choose Delta Construction

Mason Remodeling Co San Antonio provides Delta in San Antonio construction service, repair, and full remodel integration across the area, from kitchen faucet cartridge replacements to complete bathroom rebuilds built around Delta tub/shower valves and trim. We’re not factory-authorized by Delta and we’ll never claim to be. What we offer is deeper: our crews see more Delta kitchens and baths in a month than most San Antonio remodelers see in a year, which means we know exactly how these fixtures fail in this city’s hard water and exactly which parts fix them right the first time.

Call (254) 269-5071

If you’ve got a Delta faucet that’s gone stiff, a shower valve that won’t hold temperature, or you’re planning a remodel and want Delta fixtures installed correctly against San Antonio’s aggressive water chemistry, call (254) 269-5071 for a free estimate.

Why Trust Mason Remodeling Co San Antonio for Your Delta Construction?

A walk-in shower with large-format tile and a built-in niche

Delta builds a lot of product lines, and they don’t all age the same way in San Antonio. Our lead, Isaac Pruett, grew up in Los Angeles and learned construction fundamentals at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College before spending two decades on job sites across the Southwest. He’s been running San Antonio jobs for years now, and he’ll tell you straight: the Delta faucet that works fine in Dallas will often bind up here within three years because our water is harder. That’s not a defect. It’s chemistry, and you plan for it.

Every Mason Remodeling Co San Antonio technician arrives at your door in a clean marked uniform with a photo ID badge, and you’ll receive that technician’s name and photo before the visit. That’s the Threshold Standard, and it applies whether we’re rebuilding a Delta shower valve or gutting a kitchen. We also put a written price in front of you before any work begins, and every completed Delta job carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the work isn’t right within a year of completion, we make it right at no cost to you. Know who’s coming, know what it costs, know it’s covered. That’s the whole job before the job starts.

Common Delta Construction Problems We Fix in San Antonio

  • Delta Leland Single-Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet – stiff handle, dribbling spout. San Antonio’s hard water deposits calcium and magnesium scale directly onto the Diamond Seal cartridge, which sits right under the handle. Over time the scale loads the ceramic discs and the handle fights you, then the spout starts weeping. The fix is a genuine Delta cartridge swap, and we keep the common Leland cartridges on our service trucks so we’re not running back and forth to a supply house.
  • Delta Touch2O faucets – no flow, stuck-on flow, or ghost activation. The solenoid that opens and closes water flow sits inline under the sink, and it has a tiny orifice. San Antonio water carries magnetite from older galvanized supply lines and fine sediment from municipal main breaks. That material settles in the solenoid and clogs it. We flush or replace the solenoid, and we’ll show you what came out of it so you understand why it happened.
  • Delta Trinsic pull-out kitchen faucets – uneven spray pattern, leaking at the head. The aerator gasket inside the pull-out wand distorts from repeated hot-water cycling. San Antonio’s high summer usage means that wand sees a lot of hot to cold swings, and the gasket takes a set. The spray goes ragged, then water starts wicking down the hose. It’s usually a $15-to-$40 gasket and diverter seal replacement, not a new faucet.
  • Delta Windemere and Ara bathroom faucets – finish micro-pitting on champagne bronze and matte black. City of San Antonio municipal water carries a relatively high chlorine residual, and on PVD finishes that chlorine can cause micro-pitting, especially around the aerator and the base where water sits. We can’t reverse pitting once it’s there, but we can replace trim, and we’ll tell you honestly when a finish is past saving versus when a good cleaning and a seal makes sense.
  • Delta tub/shower valves – temperature swings during use. On older Monitor pressure-balancing valves, the internal balancing spool wears out, and when someone flushes a toilet or starts a load of laundry the shower temperature swings hard. We rebuild the valve with the OEM spool and springs, and the temperature holds steady again.

Delta Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

A remodeled hall bathroom with subway tile and a floating vanity

We default to genuine Delta cartridges, springs, seals, and aerators on every repair. Delta’s parts are well-engineered and their current cartridge platform is broadly compatible across model families, which means a Leland and a Trinsic often share the same internal valve, just different trim. That lets us stock a lean, useful parts kit on every truck and get most San Antonio Delta repairs done in a single visit.

For discontinued trim or finish-matched accessories that Delta no longer supplies, we source OEM-equivalent aftermarket parts and we tell you upfront that’s what we’re doing. We’ll never pass a knock-off cartridge off as genuine, and if an aftermarket part is the only option we’ll explain exactly what you’re getting and why. Our default is repair: rebuild the valve, replace the cartridge, reseal the head. We recommend full fixture replacement only when a tub or shower body is corroded to the point that new internals won’t seat, or when a finish has exfoliated to bare brass in visible areas. If you’re unsure, call us and we’ll give you a straight answer. Estimates are free.

Our Delta Service Process – Step by Step

  1. 1
Diagnosis with the fixture in place. We start by running the fixture, checking water pressure, and listening to what the valve or solenoid is doing. On a Delta Touch2O that’s clicking but not flowing, that points at the solenoid. On a stiff Leland handle, we know before we open it up that the Diamond Seal cartridge is loaded with scale. You get a written diagnosis and a written price before we turn a wrench.
  2. 2
Repair or installation with genuine parts. We protect your countertop and cabinet faces with drop cloths and use basin wrenches and cartridge pullers so we’re not scratching the finish or distorting the trim. If it’s a remodel, we integrate Delta fixtures into the full scope: rough-in valves set at the right depth for Delta trim, supply lines sized correctly, and escutcheon plates seated flat against finished tile.
  3. 3
Pressure and leak testing. After any Delta valve work, we run the fixture through hot, cold, and mixed cycles and check for leaks at every connection. On a shower valve rebuild, we’ll cycle the temperature from full hot to full cold and back to confirm the pressure-balancing spool is holding steady.
  4. 4
Warranty registration and walkthrough. Every Delta repair and installation we complete falls under our 365-Day Done Right Promise, stated plainly: 365 days from the completion date, if the work isn’t right we make it right at no cost. We’ll walk you through what was done, show you any parts we removed, and leave the work area clean.

Delta Products We Service & Install in San Antonio

Our San Antonio crews work across the Delta kitchen and bath line: the Leland single-handle pull-down, the Trinsic pull-out, the Windemere two-handle centerset, and the Ara widespread bathroom faucet, plus Delta’s tub/shower valve platforms, including the older Monitor series and the current MultiChoice universal rough-in system. We stock common Delta cartridges, aerator gaskets, diverter seals, and shower trim kits locally for fast turnaround. Whether it’s a single faucet repair in a King William cottage or a full kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling package built around Delta Construction in Selma, TX and north-side slab home fixtures, we handle the plumbing and the construction as one scope.

We Also Service These Brands

Delta is one brand we know deeply, but it’s not the only one on our trucks. We also install and integrate KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Kohler fixtures into kitchen and bath remodels across San Antonio. If you’re replacing a Delta faucet as part of a larger remodel, we’ll coordinate the plumbing, the surfaces, and the cabinets without making you manage three different crews.

FAQs – Delta Construction Service in San Antonio

Can you rebuild a Delta Monitor pressure-balancing shower valve without tearing into the tile wall?
Yes, in most San Antonio homes we can. The Monitor valve body sits behind the finished wall, but the pressure-balancing spool and cartridge are accessible from the front through the trim plate. We remove the handle and escutcheon, pull the cartridge and spool, replace them with genuine Delta parts, and reinstall the trim. No tile comes off unless the valve body itself is cracked or corroded, which is rare but does happen in older pier-and-beam homes in Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills where galvanized piping has been in place for fifty-plus years.

Why does my Delta Touch2O kitchen faucet turn on by itself or not respond?
Touch2O faucets have a solenoid in the under-sink control box that opens and closes water flow. In San Antonio, magnetite from aging galvanized supply lines and sediment from municipal mains over time clog that solenoid. The solenoid either sticks closed and you get no water, or sticks open and the faucet runs when it shouldn’t. We flush the solenoid, replace it if needed, and often add an inline filter to keep it from happening again. If yours is acting up, call (254) 269-5071 and we’ll sort it out.

Is it worth rebuilding a 10-year-old Delta faucet with a worn finish, or should I remodel around new fixtures?
If the valve internals are the only problem, rebuild: a genuine Delta cartridge is $150 to $400 installed, versus a full replacement that’s often double or triple that. If the finish is pitted, exfoliating, or worn through to brass, rebuilding won’t fix the look, and you’re better off planning new fixtures as part of a kitchen or bath remodel. We’ll tell you which side of the line your faucet is on before we quote anything.

Can you match a Delta champagne bronze finish when installing new shower trim during a remodel?
Yes, within Delta’s current trim families. Delta’s champagne bronze is a PVD finish, and their current MultiChoice trim kits are finished consistently enough that a new valve trim in champagne bronze will match a champagne bronze lavatory faucet from the same era. The complication comes with older or discontinued trim where the finish has micro-pitted from San Antonio’s chlorine residual; new PVD against old PVD can show a slight difference. We’ll show you samples before we order so there are no surprises.

Do you work on Delta fixtures in rental properties with hard San Antonio water?
We do, and we see Boerne Delta service properties all the time. San Antonio’s hard water loads cartridges and solenoids faster in rental units because tenants cycle fixtures more often and the water sits in the lines between tenants. We keep common Delta cartridges stock on our trucks, so a rental turn doesn’t usually require a second visit. If you own multiple properties, ask us about setting up a pre-turn Delta fixture check so small drips don’t become big water bills.

How much does Delta construction cost in San Antonio?
A Delta faucet cartridge replacement typically runs $150 – $400. A shower valve rebuild with trim and cartridge runs $250 – $600. If you’re remodeling around new Delta fixtures, a kitchen remodel with Delta fixtures in San Antonio runs $14,000 – $45,000, and a bathroom remodel with a Delta tub/shower conversion runs $9,000 – $28,000. Call (254) 269-5071 for an exact quote. Estimates are free.
